OTLL Policy Reminders

The following is a list of policy reminders that need to be addressed as a result of recent observations:

1. Unaccompanied Children - No children under 14 can be at Colt Field unless accompanied by a responsible adult. See Important News Updates for more details.

2. End of Game Field Maintenance - The Managers and Coaches of both teams are required to rake their fields at the end of each game.  This includes the final game of each day.

3. Garbage Receptacles - There seems to be an inordinate amount of garbage being thrown around our grounds.  This is especially evident under the bleachers.  We have purchased and placed additional cans around the facility.  Parents please set an example for your children.  Everyone is a guest at Colt Field and they are required to use a trash can.  If a trash can is full then please have them find one that is not.

4. Board of Education Fields - The Varsity Girls softball field is off limits 365 days a year for all practice and scrimmages.  In addition, due to a lack of trash pickup including water bottles, wrappers, etc. all grass fields and playing fields  between Dow Ave School and the High School are now off limits for practice (i.e., JV Softball, Lacrosse & Field Hockey Fields, and Grassy area by JV Softball).

The Board understands that these policies may sound a little obvious but based on the condition of the grounds, this needs to be addressed.
